Dr. Danielle Campagne named New Medical Director
We are pleased to introduce our new Executive Medical Director, Dr. Danielle Campagne!
Dr. Campagne has been practicing medicine in the Fresno area for 15 years. She is board certified in Emergency Medicine and earned her medical degree at the University of Southern California. She then completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, Fresno. She is currently the Vice Chief of the Department of Emergency Medicine at UCSF-Fresno. She has many academic interests and has spoken both internationally and nationally on orthopedic topics, sports medicine, and EMS/Wilderness Medicine.
For 10 years, she served as one of the faculty in the Parkmedic/EMS Program at UCSF-Fresno where she functioned as a medical adviser to the National Park Service. She also served as the Base Hospital Medical Director for Community Regional Medical Center for 5 years representing CRMC at EMS meetings. She enjoys doing clinical research and has had much of her own research published in the areas of critical care, EMS and Wildness Medicine.
Dr. Campagne is active in our local community and volunteers at the Marjaree Mason Center. She is also involved in a youth mentorship program, the Doctors Academy. The program pairs underprivileged teens who are interested in health fields with physicians for a summer internship program.
She is married with two children, ages 5 and 7. She grew up in the Central Valley, attending Sanger High. She loves to be outdoors and spends her free time hiking and skiing with her kids.
As our medical director, Dr. Campagne will be essential in providing medical direction to our clinical quality improvement process and our training and continuing education programs. She will also represent us as an intermediary between the EMS agency, trauma center and the local medical community.
We are excited to have Dr. Campagne join our American Ambulance team.
